General Rules

The Guild is not a democracy. Guild Rules and Policies are determined by the Guild Officers and may be changed or amended at any time by a consensus vote among the Guild Officers. If a member of the guild has questions or concerns regarding guild rules or policy they should follow the chain of command by contacting a Guild Officer via PM.

When a member leaves the guild, re-entry must be approved by the guild leader.

In general, re-entry will not be permitted under the following circumstances:

* Member leaves to join another guild.
* Member leaves in a fit of pique.
* Member is removed from the guild for disciplinary reasons.

Exceptions to this policy are at the sole discretion of the officers.

RESPECT FOR THE CHAIN OF COMMAND

The chain of command, between the guild leader and the members, will be preserved. Members are encouraged to utilize their officers to help solve minor problems and to answer questions relating to the guild.

Members should respect the position of officer and follow officer instructions when relating to matters that involve guild rules and policies.

APPOINTING NEW OFFICERS

New officers will be appointed by existing officers on an as needed basis. Members are encouraged to provide recommendations for new officers at any time. The guild will maintain at least one officer in each of the following positions:

Guild Leader: Writes policy for approval by Officers, administers sanctions against members for violations of policy, ensures fair treatment to all members and assists all Officers in fulfilling their roles.

Raid Coordinator: Organizes and conducts guild raids, researches potential raid sites based on level of possible attendees and posts concise, relevant zone, loot and mob information 3 days prior to raid taking place.

Recruiting Officer: Heads recruiting efforts of qualified members, generates prospects and follow-up on leads for new membership. Greets new members to the guild and ensures they are clear on the rules, who the officers are, and who the guild leader is. Keeps accurate information on the roster system. The Recruiting Officer also has a major role in deciding what levels and classes we are open to.

OFFICER SPECIFIC RULES

No person, because of his/her rank within the guild, is exempt from these standards of conduct. Officers especially are held to a higher criteria, and must take the responsibility for following, implementing, and enforcing these standards.

Abuse of authority is specifically prohibited.

Officers must investigate and report, as appropriate, alleged incidents of misconduct or violations of the standards of conduct to the GM.

Raiding Rules

People are encouraged to attend raids, but are not required. While we expect to work our way through the various raid mobs and dungeons

The Raid Leader has total authority for the raid. Groups will be formed to ensure the success of the raid. Arguing over the composition of the groups will not be tolerated.

Do not send tells to the Raid Leader unless you are requested to provide specific information. The coordination of a raid takes a lot of work and the constant interruptions only make it worse. Do NOT send requests for the puller to bring specific mobs. They and the raid leader / pull group will determine what will be pulled and when.

Failure to follow the Raid Leader's instructions can result in your banishment from the raid. A second occurrence can result in exclusion from future raids. A third offense can result in guild removal.

Do NOT offer to have your friend(s) pull. The puller / pull group will determine what gets pulled and when. The Puller / Pull Group are to be left alone during a raid. /Tells are disruptive and can lead to the failure of the raid. If you have a question, talk to your group leader. If the group leader cannot answer the question, they will contact an officer.

Please remember to thank the Raid leaders. They need to know we appreciate them for taking on the difficult and mostly thankless task of running a raid. They are always doing their very best to make sure the raid is run fairly and in a manner that provides the most enjoyment for all. Without them, all the cool loot would not be possible.

1. Please be on time. Invites will start going out 15 minutes before raid start. Start making your way to the spot. Be repaired and have flasks, buff food and reagents on hand.

2. If you know you will absolutely be able to raid, accept the invite. Otherwise decline or don't do anything. If you end up showing up, you will be put on stand by and can possibly still join the raid if you are on time.

3. If you are late, your spot will be filled. You can only reclaim your spot if someone drops from raid. Otherwise you will be in line on standby to join raid.

4. During raid, please keep chit chat to a minimum. Especially during a boss fight in vent.

5. Please at any time DO NOT post damage meters in raid chat and especially during loot unless raid leader asks you to do so. If you want to know damage meters, please have someone whisper it to you or download Recount add-on or something similar.

6. Respect one another. We need to work as a team to progress.

7. If you consistently sign up for events and do not show up, you will be penalized by being moved down a rank and not being invited to future events.

Headsets: Communication is essential to being a member of Legion. Legion relies heavily on good communications in order to coordinate attacks and report enemy positions. For this reason, everyone who wants to be considered for enlistment WILL have Ventrilo (or whatever voice chat we may have at the time) and a headset. Microphone/speaker combinations can be accepted, but they run the risk of destroying good communications as they cause tremendous amounts of feedback and echo. Headsets are relatively inexpensive and that price is a small price to pay to join up with Legion. If you want to be in the guild, do us all a favor and pick up a $10 headset somewhere.

Availability: We are a guild composed of older individuals, and because of that, we have commitments that generally preclude us from playing in the afternoons and early evenings. Generally, all runs take place 8pm server time. For this reason, if you are still living at home with your parents, you need to be ABSOLUTELY SURE that you we can depend on you to show up to raid events that start at or after 8pm and might last until 11pm. I require a schedule ingame mailed to me (Proxseries) with your availability.

Loot Rules

Legion uses EPGP Loot system. For more info on this loot system please visit the EPGPWeb site

Guild members can find their EPGP points by installing the addon, looking in officer notes on their character or by visiting our EPGP points site here. Information will be uploaded every night after raid.

Attendance is KEY! In order to see any loot in any of our runs, you must have a minimum of 1000EP points to be considered. If you look at it, one raid can equal to the 1000EP points needed to be considered for loot.

EPGP Loot Rules:

- 50 EP points awarded every 15 minutes of raid.
- 100 EP points awarded per boss kill
- 500 EP points awarded for guild's first time boss kill

50 EP points "invite bonus" if calendar was used for event and player was on time and ready to go, but there was not enough players to run. Goes for all guild members who signed up even if they go on standby

EPGP will only be given for events that the officers set up.

EPGP and PUGS:

If there is no PUG in the group EPGP priority will be used.

If there is a PUG/s in the group and the PUG/s are not interested in loot, EPGP priority will be used.

If there is a PUG/s in the group and the PUG/s is interested in loot, there will be open roll for all raid members interested. If a guild member wins loot in the roll GP will be applied.

Main Spec items will cost 100% GP, Off Spec will cost 50% GP.

BOE items/Shards/Crystals/Orbs will be put in the guild bank in the Officers tab and can be purchased using GP. Please check with an officer for more details. *NOTE: BOE items will need to be equipped in front of officer when given to guild member.

If something drops that is an upgrade for you... ask for it! If you have gotten a drop already and want something, consider sending a request with 'only if no one else wants it'. If you are playing a character that you, by design, intend to be an alt, be especially considerate if gear drops for those people who are playing their main character. This behavior is something that we already do, it is at the heart of what makes us a great guild. We care about our guild and we care about each other. Our loot policy is a natural extension of the basic concepts that we hold dear. And is.. as always .. a work in progress.
